Interesting to see such high profile musicians getting into the software space. Perhaps the tides are finally turning in the DRM debate? Also interested to see if Pete Townshend’s new project will lead to more uses of audio to aid in UIs and placement?

BBC NEWS | Technology | EMI takes locks off music tracks
The extra charge for non-DRM songs is silly, but maybe after this (and the increase in bitrate that comes with it) I’ll start buying tracks from the itunes store again.
