  • dawdlr – a twitter for the long now
"I’ve tried to make dawdlr way slower than twitter. I reckon most people I know twitter about twice a day, so dawdlr is going to update twice a year. To try and get people to say what they’re doing, you know, more generally."

  • High Earth Orbit » Mapstraction updates – Time Navigation, Polyline, FreeEarth
A whole slew of changes to mapstraction. I’m not entirely sure how often the rails plugin (ym4r_mapstraction) is synced with this, but I’m definitely hoping to find time to play with it soon. Particularly interested in the "time navigation" feat

The time navigation is definitely very cool – and will be live on a couple of sites soon – actually in use!

We are making the modifications to ym4r_mapstraction to support all the new features in Mapstraction – however, the admin/dev for ym4r_mapstraction has gone incommunicado (hopefully just finishing up his Master’s degree), so we haven’t been able to commit the changes back to the central repository. Once they’re finished, we’ll probably at least make them available as a download until we can sync to the public project svn.
